OUR SPACES
Studio A is our flagship practice room. With over 35 square meters of space, it's packed with high end gear and ready for bands and ensembles of all kinds to get to work.
You'll find three premium guitar amps, a high end bass amp, a full drum kit (with breakables included), a Roland stage piano and neat accessories like a phone holder for filming sessions, a dry wipe board for hatching plans and guitar holders on the walls.
Studio A also hosts 13 storage lockers which are available to rehearsal room members for a small extra cost.

Studio B
Studio B is our second, more intimate practice space.
Its footprint is a little less than studio A's, but still a generous size for bands and ensembles of up to 6 people.
You'll find a 16 input mixer wired to dual active PA speakers, professional mics, high end guitar amps, a full drum kit (with breakables) and lots of neat accessories to make your playing experience as comfortable and productive as possible.
Our isolation / recording booth nicknamed 'The Cabin' is ideal for serious instrumentalists and producers who want to take their craft to the next level in a professionally designed environment.
We maintain a full drum-kit with breakables at all times, but The Cabin has also been a musical home for Saxophonists, Vocalists, Guitarists, String players and Producers.
It comes with an 8-Channel interface, an array of instrument mics and XLR cables, and high-end studio monitors. For playback and backing tracks, we have a mixer and headphone amp.
Studio C
How Does it Work?
We operate on a subscription basis; our members pay a monthly fee to use the studios.
This means we can offer studio time much more affordably than most of our competitors.
For Rehearsal Room and Cabin members, we offer up to 20 hours per week of studio time, with guaranteed use of the studios at peak times (weekday evenings and weekends) for those who need it.
Our rehearsal rooms are equipped with all the gear you need, including high-end amps, quality drum kits with breakables, professional microphones and a full PA.
For Cabin members, a full drum kit with breakables, an 8-Channel interface, headphone amp and Yamaha HS8 speakers are included.

We offer a very limited number of off-peak memberships for musicians who like working through the night and/or can make use of the studios on weekday mornings when the studios are usually not in use).
Why choose a Blimp membership?
1. It's way cheaper than paying by the hour.

Blimp is like a gym membership, but for practice rooms. We apply the same logic as other subscription-based services, which makes the cost of practice way cheaper than paying by the hour.

Even for bands who practice just once a week, a Blimp membership is cheaper than almost all practice rooms that charge by the hour.; and it gives you way more studio time to play with.
2. It's way more convenient.

At Blimp, you take control. You manage your own time via a Google calendar, and book and cancel slots as you need them.

Better yet, if you rehearse at the same times each week, you also have the option to lock in specific slots so that you ‘own’ them and they are kept available for your exclusive use each week.
3. It's way more flexible.

We get it. Even the most serious bands don’t usually play for 20 hours a week, and most of our members won’t use their full compliment of time every week.

But, if you’re ever about to go into the studio or head out on tour and and need to get tight; you can ramp up your practice hours accordingly.

And you have the option to pop in for solo sessions in between full rehearsals (particularly useful for drummers, horn players and other instrumentalists who need a soundproofed place to play).

As a Blimp member, you’ll be playing on high-end equipment, in acoustically treated rooms.

You can also store your gear in our secure lockers for a small extra fee, so no more lugging heavy equipment across town.

Blimp is conveniently located just a stones-throw from Hackney Central and London Fields Stations. We are lucky enough to be based in a vibrant area with some great restaurants, bars and pubs all within a couple of minutes walk from our front door.
